Victoria Rovira Casanovas (Sabadell, 1991). Photojournalist and graphic designer.
She has a degree in Multimedia (Universitat Oberta de Catalunya) with a degree in Advertising Graphics (Escola d’Art i Disseny Illa)
From 2018 until now, she works for the Diari de Sabadell newspaper and since 2017, with the Pressouth Agency in Quito.
She also works as a freelancer with her own international projects interested in conflict zones in which she deals with issues such as militias, women, refugees, displaced persons or the civilian population.
She worked (2015-2017) for the Agencia Cronistas Gráficos (ACG) of Quito.
Likewise, she collaborates in other media, for companies and makes her own exhibitions.
Since 2021, she has started as a teacher teaching the introductory photography workshop at the “Escola d’Art i Disseny Illa”
Her images and exhibitions have been published in various media such as: Diari de Sabadell; Diari de Terrassa; La Vanguardia; El País; Catorze; El Núvol (l’ARA); Diari Jornada; El Público; Lecturas; Chakana News; El Periódico Aragón; OpenDemocracy; Diario de Teruel; News Xinhua; News Russia; La Hora Ecuador; Newspaper PUK Media etc.
She has won several photographic awards, among which the “International Emerging Art Contest” stands out; Enrique Algarra Award Beca Photon 2018 and The 2017 EyeEm Awards in the photojournalism category.
She is one of the few female photographers included in the online platform «Photography to Catalonia», which jointly collects photographic culture in Catalonia, as a result of the National Photography Plan and promoted by the Department of Culture of the Government of Catalonia.
