Victòria ROVIRA

Victòria Rovira Casanovas (Sabadell, 1991). Photojournalist and graphic designer.

University Degree in Multimedia (Universitat Oberta de Catalunya) and with a Certificate of Higher Education (HNC) in Advertising Graphics (Escola d’Art i Disseny Illa).

From 2018 until now, she has worked in the local newspaper «Diari de Sabadell» and since 2017, with the «Pressouth Agency» in Quito as a correspondent for Ecuador in Barcelona and internationally, covering news and reporting. With Pressouth, they collaborate with AFP Forum; Nurphoto and GettyImages.

She worked (2015-2017) at the Cronistas Gráficos Agency (ACG) of Quito.

In addition, she collaborates with other media and holds her own exhibitions.

Her images and exhibitions have been published in various media such as: Diari de Sabadell; La Vanguardia; Diari la Jornada; Chakana News; El Periódico Aragón; Diario de Teruel; News Xinhua; News Russia; La Hora Ecuador; Newspaper PUK Media etc.

She has won several photography awards, including the «Premio Enrique Algarra Beca Photon 2018» and «The 2017 EyeEm Awards» in the photojournalism category.

She is one of the few female photographers included in the online platform «Fotografia a Catalunya», which collects together the photographic culture in Catalonia, the result of the National Photography Plan and promoted by the Department of Culture of the Generalitat of Catalonia.
