Rojava. Women between wars

Since 2011, Syria has been immersed in a permanent conflict: from the Civil War, to the occupations of the Islamic State, to a harassment costing by the Turkish Government. Rojava or Western Kurdistan, officially known as the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, is an autonomous region within the State of Syria, bordering the regions of Turkish Kurdistan and Iraq. During these years of revolution, the women of Rojava have played a fundamental role: they have been references as military combatants within their country, changing roles and paradigms in the political and civil structure, but they have also been seen suffering the aftermath of the conflicts.
